Michaela is a professional midwife and also the nurse of Kibbutz Alumim. While a gun battle was seething outside, she opened an improvised clinic in her home and saved the lives of the wounded, two of whom were severely injured and probably would not have survived without her. When one of the wounded reached a state where his life was hanging in the balance, Tzviki, Michaela’s husband, was forced to make a crucial and brave decision.
