Avi was a police officer, as well as the kind of father that his children were proud to call him dad. He was strong, and constantly showered his family with love. On the morning of the massacre, he went to the battlefield on his own initiative, and throughout the entire day, he moved from one site to another, fighting, killing terrorists, and even taking care to disarm their weapons. At one point, he noticed a soldier who had gone into shock, he stopped everything, and hugged him. It was a healing embracive hug that felt like it was from above. Someone photographed them, and the picture went viral. Eventually Avi was killed during the battle, leaving behind his daughter Stav, who carries him in her heart and through her blue eyes, telling her beloved father’s story.
