Emanuel Sakat and his friends Avi Gian and Avi Yudkowsky, volunteers for United Hatzalah, received a fateful phone call on the morning of Simchat Torah. They were instructed to get into their ambulance, drive to the Heletz Junction, which was outside the line of fire, and evacuate wounded people that the army were transferring to there. When the three arrived at the Heletz Junction, they realized that there were too many wounded people in the line of fire, and decided to break into the combat zones and saved dozens of wounded people, risking their own lives in the process.
