Denis loved his daughter Polina with all his heart. They shared a mutual love for music, and she would consult him about everything. As a police officer, he heard that there were terrorists inside the police station in Sderot. Despite it not being his area, and despite not being on duty that day, Denis drove to Sderot and fought the terrorists while physically shielding other officers and saving their lives. He was eventually shot and killed. His fourteen-year-old daughter Polina tells his story.
