Since she was a child, Moran dared to challenge herself and push her limits. As a police officer in the Special Reconnaissance Unit, she heard about the fighting in Ofakim. Although Ofakim wasn’t her assigned area, she took the initiative to join the fighting, took command, formed an improvised team of police officers, and fought against the terrorists under fire. Moran was injured but continued to fight off the terrorists for hours, all with just a handgun.
