Noam and Yishai Slotki z”l were two brothers out of seven siblings. On the morning of Simchat Torah, each was at their home in Be’er Sheva with their respective wives and children. When they heard about what was happening on the border of Gaza, they took weapons and drove down there. They reached Kibbutz Alumim, where dozens of terrorists were trying to enter. Both fought with supreme heroism, in full coordination with each other. At one point, they ran out of bullets in their handguns, so they took the Kalashnikovs from the terrorists they had killed and continued fighting. They managed to stop the terrorists from trying to enter the kibbutz, but they were tragically killed and died right next to each other.
