Yohai, a twenty-six-year-old Golani Brigade platoon commander, was profoundly influenced by losing his father to terrorism at a young age. Known for his unwavering principles and courage, Yohai balanced military dedication with strong family ties and faith. His constant vigilance was matched by a refined sense of humor that often eased tensions. On October 7th, Yohai was stationed at the Nahal Oz Outpost. During the Hamas attack, he led the base defense and protected the operations center, where many unarmed surveillance female soldiers were stationed. After hours of fighting, as terrorists set the center on fire, Yohai died heroically while helping others escape through a window. Yohai died as a true hero putting others before himself.
